Everything is Connected: A Two-Day Workshop with Visiting Artist Patrizia Ferreira

Everything is Connected: A Two-Day Workshop with Visiting Artist Patrizia Ferreira In-Person

Discover how everyday materials can be transformed into art! Join local multimedia artist Patrizia Ferreira at the Scott Northern Wake Library for Everything is Connected, a two-day workshop and artist residency event open to all Wake Tech students, faculty, and staff. Together, we’ll explore sculptural textiles, spatial design, and collaborative art-making.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to create ropes and nets from repurposed plastic bags, using simple knotting techniques that show how individual strands gain strength when woven together. The pieces you make will become part of a larger, site-specific installation that will go on display in Spring 2026.
